SNL Season 49 Finale to Feature Maya Rudolph, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Musical Guests Vampire Weekend and Sabrina Carpenter

Maya Rudolph hosts SNL on May 11 with Vampire Weekend, marking her third time on stage.

The final two episodes of Saturday Night Live’s 49th season are highly anticipated, featuring major stars and exciting performances.

On May 11, Maya Rudolph will host with musical guest Vampire Weekend, marking Rudolph’s third time hosting and the band’s fourth performance on the show.

The season finale on May 18 will be hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal with Sabrina Carpenter making her SNL musical guest debut.

Carpenter celebrated this milestone with an enthusiastic Instagram post, while Gyllenhaal expressed his excitement on his Instagram Stories.

Jake Gyllenhaal returns to SNL’s season finale on May 18, with musical guest Sabrina Carpenter debuting.

Rudolph, who was a cast member from 2000 to 2007, shared that returning to SNL is always emotional for her. She previously balanced her SNL career with her family life, commuting between New York and Los Angeles.

Carpenter’s debut comes after her single “Espresso” reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, following her performances as a supporting act on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Gyllenhaal’s appearance will be his third time hosting, with his first in 2007 and a second in 2022. Reflecting on his previous experience, he humorously noted the significant changes since his first hosting gig.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
