Apple Original Films has announced the global streaming release of Martin Scorsese’s critically acclaimed epic, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” on Apple TV+, heralding a new era of cinematic storytelling.

This masterful adaptation of David Grann’s book will now reach a worldwide audience, following its impressive $156 million box office performance and widespread critical acclaim. The film’s digital debut on January 12 sets a compelling precedent for the future of big-budget streaming films.

Starring a talented ensemble cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and the breakout star Lily Gladstone, “Killers of the Flower Moon” has garnered widespread acclaim and recognition in the film industry.

As the movie prepares for its digital debut, it emerges as a frontrunner in the awards season, poised to capture prestigious accolades.

The film’s impressive list of achievements includes being crowned the Best Film of the Year by the National Board of Review, earning 12 Critics Choice Award nominations, and receiving 7 Golden Globe Award nominations. The American Film Institute has also recognized it as one of the Motion Pictures of the Year.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has secured a place on the Oscars shortlists in several categories, including Best Makeup and Hair, Best Sound, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song.

Based on David Grann’s book, the film is set in 1920s Oklahoma and tells the chilling tale of the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a dark period known as the Reign of Terror.
