Livan 9 (Geely Livan)

The Livan 9, an electric vehicle, shares its foundation with the Geely Haoyue and Proton X90. It measures 4,845 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and has a 2,825 mm wheelbase, making it slightly larger than the Proton X90, which comes in at 4,830 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and features a 2,805 mm wheelbase.

Two battery configurations will be available for the Livan 9. The first is a 52.56 kWh battery, and the second is a 66.57 kWh unit. Both are produced by CATL and utilize NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) technology.

On the Chinese CLTC test cycle, the smaller battery offers a range of up to 380 km, while the larger one can go up to 470 km. The car will feature a single electric motor producing 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels.

The Livan 9’s launch reflects the brand’s growing focus on the Asian market, positioning itself as a competitive player in the expanding EV segment (Geely Livan)

In Indonesia, the Livan brand will be sold under the Aletra name, distributed by PT Sinar Armada Globalindo (PT SAG). Recently, Aletra revealed plans to introduce an electric MPV to the Indonesian market, based on the Geely/Livan Maple 80V L, which itself is an electric variant of the Geely Jiaji L.

Livan is a relatively new player in the automotive scene, having been established in 2022 through the merger of Geely’s Shanghai Maple and Lifan Technology. This joint venture between Lifan Group and Geely Qizheng, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding, marks an outstanding step in Geely’s strategy to expand its electric vehicle lineup across various markets. The Livan 9’s introduction signals the brand’s push into the electric vehicle market, particularly in Asia.
