Damar Hamlin (Buffalo Bills)

More than two weeks after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field, his recovery remains a work in progress, according to a statement from his representative.

Jordon Rooney, Hamlin’s close friend and business associate, reported that while Hamlin has been released from the hospital, he still relies on oxygen and undergoes regular heart check-ups.

Although he has made a few appearances at the team’s facility, Hamlin becomes easily fatigued. Despite these challenges, he maintains a positive outlook and is committed to continuing his recovery journey.

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Hamlin has been visiting the team facility almost daily, albeit with restricted activity.

McDermott explained that these visits mark the beginning of Hamlin’s slow reintegration into a normal routine. He emphasized the encouraging effect of seeing Hamlin’s presence and his positive demeanor at the facility.

Offensive lineman Dion Dawkins also expressed how Hamlin’s visits contribute to a positive atmosphere among the team, highlighting the motivational boost Hamlin’s support provides.

The Bills are set to face the Cincinnati Bengals, the team they were playing when Hamlin collapsed, in the AFC divisional round on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
