Bob Odenkirk, a two-time Emmy winner, has officially signed on to reprise his role in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 action thriller “Nobody”.

Timo Tjahjanto, known for his work on “The Night Comes for Us”, will direct the film, which is set for release on August 15, 2025. The script, written by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem, promises to deliver another thrilling installment in the franchise.

The original film, which grossed over $57 million worldwide, followed the story of Hutch Mansell, a suburban father with a deadly past as a government assassin. The sequel, with plot details still under wraps, is expected to continue the story of Hutch’s journey.

Odenkirk, known for his iconic role as Saul Goodman in “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”, has a busy schedule ahead, including filming “Nobody 2” and re-teaming with Kolstad on the crime thriller “Normal”. Tjahjanto, a rising filmmaker from Indonesia, has a number of projects in the works, including “The Shadow Strays”.

The team behind “Nobody 2” is impressive, with Kelly McCormick and David Leitch returning to produce through 87North’s first-look deal with Universal. The film will be overseen by Universal’s Executive Vice President of Production Development, Jay Polidoro, and Director of Development, Tony Ducret. With its talented cast and crew, “Nobody 2” is shaping up to be a must-see action thriller.
