Motor City Machine Guns (WWE)

The future of the Motor City Machine Guns has been a hot topic lately, with fans eagerly speculating about their next move. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin’s contracts with TNA ended at the start of April, sparking widespread speculation about whether they would join WWE or AEW.

Initially, it seemed that AEW might be their next destination, given their brief appearance at All Out 2022. However, the speculation shifted, and insiders began to suggest that WWE was their likely new home.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there appears to be clarity on the matter. Meltzer reports that the Motor City Machine Guns are expected to make their WWE debut soon. While they are highly regarded as one of the most influential tag teams of their era, Meltzer indicates that they will start their WWE journey with the “WWE NXT” brand.

The “NXT” brand is gearing up for events, with its move to The CW set for October 1. The debut show will be broadcast live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, followed by another live episode in St. Louis, Missouri on October 8, which will face competition from “AEW Dynamite.” After these initial live broadcasts, “NXT” will continue its momentum with the Halloween Havoc PLE, scheduled for October 27 at the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
