Hyundai Motor Company’s IONIQ 6 has secured a spot as a top three finalist in three categories for the 2023 World Car Awards. The IONIQ 6 is a contender for the 2023 World Car of the Year, 2023 World Electric Vehicle, and 2023 World Car Design of the Year awards.
Built on the same Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) as the IONIQ 5, which won the 2022 World Car of the Year, the IONIQ 6 has received a highly positive reception since its debut last year.
The IONIQ 6 has also garnered several prestigious accolades recently, including ‘Saloon of the Year’ at the 2023 GQ Car Awards and ‘New Car of the Year’ by Le Guide de l’auto.
Additionally, it earned a five-star safety rating and ‘Best in Class’ in the ‘Large Family Car’ category from Euro NCAP. The World Car Awards, an annual event, features 100 international jurors from 32 countries who test-drive and vote on eligible vehicles.
Winners will be revealed at a live awards ceremony during the 2023 New York International Auto Show on April 5, 2023. This marks the 18th year of the World Car Awards’ collaboration with the New York International Auto Show.
