Hyundai Design Awards (Hyundai)

“Hyundai Design focuses on creating deep, meaningful connections between our customers and our mobility solutions,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Global Design Center.

Following the 45 concept in 2019 and the Prophecy in 2020, the SEVEN concept, revealed in 2021, represents a new direction for the IONIQ all-electric lineup.

This innovative SUV redefines traditional concepts by offering a hygienic, multifunctional living space on wheels, showcasing Hyundai’s dedication to prioritizing customer values over industry norms.

Hyundai’s Trailer Drone concept is a revolutionary hydrogen-powered container transport system. It operates autonomously with a double e-Bogie design that provides exceptional maneuverability, similar to a train system but designed for modern transportation needs.

In addition to these advancements, Hyundai has received three awards for design excellence in the robotics sector. Their PnD (Plug & Drive) Mobility platform, developed with the vision of “Expanding Human Reach,” represents a major step forward in mobility technology.

The platform features a robotic module that combines intelligent steering, braking, and in-wheel electric drive technologies for a variety of applications.

The PnD L7 offers a forward-thinking urban mobility solution with its joystick-based controls and compact design. Inspired by the Lunar Roving Vehicle from the Apollo missions, the PnD L7 aims to transform urban transportation.

Finally, the MobED platform introduces a novel, compact mobility solution with four Drive & Lift (DnL) modules for driving, steering, and braking. Its minimalist design features pixel lighting that indicates the vehicle’s operational status.

These innovations highlight Hyundai’s shift from a traditional car manufacturer to a leader in smart mobility solutions, aligning with their vision of “Progress for Humanity.”
