Ohio State had one final chance to tie the game, but kicker Noah Ruggles’ 50-yard field goal attempt sailed wide left, securing the Bulldogs’ 42-41 win. This historic victory marks the first time a team has overcome a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter in College Football Playoff history.

Earlier in the day, the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs pulled off a stunning upset, defeating the previously undefeated Michigan Wolverines 51-45 in the highest-scoring Fiesta Bowl ever played.

Led by the impressive duo of Max Duggan and Emari Demarcado, the Horned Frogs dominated the game from start to finish, setting up a championship showdown against Georgia on January 9.

The championship game promises to be an electrifying contest, with TCU seeking its first national title since 1938 and Georgia aiming to become the first back-to-back champion in the College Football Playoff era.

The Bulldogs will look to defend their title, while the Horned Frogs hope to make history as the first Big 12 team to win the championship since 2005.
