Dallas Wings (Dallas Wings/WNBA)

The Dallas Wings finally broke their 11-game losing streak with a thrilling 94-88 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday. Arike Ogunbowale led the charge with 23 points, five three-pointers, and nine assists, while Odyssey Sims made a triumphant return to the court with 18 points in her season debut.

The Wings’ comeback was nothing short of remarkable. Trailing 45-30 in the second quarter, they went on a 15-point run that spanned the halftime break, tying the game at 45-all early in the third.

Monique Billings gave the Wings their first lead since the opening minutes with a basket that made it 68-67. From there, Dallas never looked back, with Sims scoring nine of her points in the fourth quarter, including two driving layups in the final 3:10.

Teaira McCowan added 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Billings finished with 14 points for the Wings. Ogunbowale’s impressive performance marked her 14th 20-point game this season. Sims’ efficient shooting (8 of 12 from the field) helped the Wings record their most bench points this season with 36.

The win was a much-needed boost for the Wings, who had been struggling since May 26. Minnesota, coming off a Commissioner’s Cup championship, was unable to contain the Wings’ offensive surge. The Lynx pulled within three points with a minute remaining, but Jacy Sheldon’s wide-open three-pointer sealed the deal for Dallas.
