Tim White is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Announced just before WrestleMania 39, White will be honored with the Warrior Award as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023 on “The Bump.”

This year’s class also includes Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta, the late Andy Kaufman, and Stacy Keibler, and White becomes the first wrestling referee to receive this prestigious accolade. The induction ceremony, hosted by Kayla Braxton, will stream live on Peacock on Friday night, following “WWE SmackDown.”

White dedicated nearly 25 years to WWE, initially joining in 1985 as Andre the Giant’s agent while also working as a part-time referee. After Andre’s passing in 1993, White transitioned to full-time refereeing, becoming a prominent figure in the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras.

White officiated some of WWE’s most remarkable matches, including the dramatic Hell in a Cell bout between Mick Foley and The Undertaker at King of the Ring 1998. He retired in 2004 due to a recurring shoulder injury from WrestleMania XX and continued working behind the scenes as a road agent until 2009.

White passed away in 2022 at the age of 68. Before his death, he owned a bar called The Friendly Tap in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
