WWE Announces Exciting Wednesday NXT Featuring the Legendary ECW Arena

The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia will host NXT’s first appearance since WrestleMania 40 weekend (WWE NXT)

In November, “WWE NXT” is set to hit the road once again, with the exciting announcement that it will debut at one of wrestling’s most legendary venues: the ECW Arena. WWE confirmed in a press release that the 2300 Arena, previously known as the ECW Arena, will host the live episode of “NXT” on Wednesday, November 6, which will air on The CW.

This episode is shifting from its usual Tuesday slot due to coverage of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election and marks “NXT’s” first appearance in Philadelphia since the Stand and Deliver event during WrestleMania 40 weekend. Tickets for the event will go on sale on October 22 at 12 p.m. ET, with an exclusive pre-sale starting two hours earlier.

Shawn Michaels, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “The city of Philadelphia has a rich wrestling history, and we are excited to bring a night of unforgettable action to such a storied venue.”

The November 6 show will see “NXT” competing against “AEW Dynamite,” similar to their matchup on October 8, where “NXT” outperformed “Dynamite” in the ratings. However, this time, “NXT” may face challenges as AEW’s flagship show will air in its usual time slot.

Additionally, the November 6 episode will mark the first WWE live event at the 2300 Arena in 18 years, with the last being an “ECW” house show held on June 24, 2006. This event took place just under two weeks after WWE officially established the brand as a permanent third brand.
