Booker T Remembers Scott Hall’s Role in Bringing Him to the nWo

Booker T recalls Scott Hall's invitation to join the early nWo lineup, featuring Hall, Nash, and Hulk Hogan ( New World Order)

During a recent appearance on The Undertaker’s podcast, Six Feet Under, Booker T disclosed that founding member Scott Hall approached him to join the nWo. Booker T shared, “Not joining the nWo was intentional on my part.

I often recount the time Scott Hall approached me shortly after the nWo was formed. At that time, they had Hall, Nash, and maybe one other member, and Scott said, ‘Hey, bro, we need some color, bro. We want you to join, man.’”

Over time, the nWo grew to include wrestling legends like Sting, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, and Big Show (nWo)

The two-time WWE Hall of Famer explained his reasoning for declining the invitation. “I turned it down, saying, ‘No, man, I’m a solo act.’ I realized that if I joined the nWo, I’d be taking all the bumps and working all the house shows,” he recalled with a laugh. “No way was I going to take that deal.”

In his view, Booker T believes the nWo would still be regarded as the greatest faction in wrestling history, even if it consisted solely of the original trio: Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hulk Hogan.

However, throughout its existence, the group continually expanded its roster to include figures like Sting, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, Big Show, X-Pac, and even WCW executive Eric Bischoff.
