Škoda has officially launched its Kodiaq iV plug-in hybrid, offering a remarkable 75-mile electric range and a Benefit-in-Kind rating of just 5%. This groundbreaking SUV is priced from $54,935 and joins the mild hybrid and standard petrol powertrains in the revamped second-generation Kodiaq lineup.
With its second-generation plug-in hybrid system, the Kodiaq iV combines a 150hp 1.5 TSI engine with a 116hp electric motor, delivering a combined output of up to 204hp.
The larger 25.7kWh battery enables an all-electric range of up to 75 miles, while the powertrain also features faster charging capabilities, accepting DC rapid charging up to 50kW.
This means the battery can be charged from 10-80% in just 26 minutes. Additionally, the Kodiaq iV comes with three hybrid driving modes, including electric-only drive, hybrid mode, and a sport mode that peaks at 204hp and 350Nm of torque.
The Kodiaq iV is offered in two trim levels, SE and SE L, both available as five-seat versions. Standard features include LED lights, heated front seats, and a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen display. Safety features include front assist, blind spot detection, and front cross traffic assist.
