In December, after the Final Battle event, Tony Khan revealed plans for a weekly Ring of Honor TV show set to launch in 2023 as part of an upgraded Honor Club. Since then, updates have been scarce.
However, with ROH’s Supercard of Honor pay-per-view approaching at the end of March, activity around the new television show appears to be increasing. According to Fightful Select, Ring of Honor tapings are scheduled for late February in Orlando, Florida.
While the exact venue is not yet confirmed, it’s anticipated that the tapings will take place at the Universal Studios soundstages, where AEW has previously recorded “AEW Dark.” Voices of Wrestling had earlier reported that ROH would tape on February 25 and 26.
Future plans beyond these February tapings remain uncertain, but the scheduled sessions are expected to cover content up to the Supercard of Honor event.
Although Tony Khan has not yet announced the debut date for ROH’s weekly show on Honor Club, it is reasonable to expect it to start in early March, allowing for several episodes to build momentum before the WrestleMania weekend.
Several AEW-affiliated talents, who signed contracts with the expectation of contributing to ROH, are anticipated to feature prominently. ROH Champions such as Claudio Castagnoli, Athena, The Embassy, Samoa Joe, and Wheeler Yuta are expected to play important roles in the upcoming programming.
