This past summer was eventful for Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown, who not only won NBA Finals MVP but also confirmed his relationship with WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick and officially kicked off the first year of his historic $304 million contract extension.
Life can be unpredictable, and for Brown, the famous setback came in the form of his omission from the Team USA roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics, a situation his father recently addressed to offer a positive perspective.
“I’m proud of him regardless,” said Marselles Brown about his son during an appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio. “… It’s BS. I thought that was really foul. He handled it well.”
Following Team USA’s loss of Kawhi Leonard due to ongoing knee issues, Brown’s exclusion became a major topic in the NBA community. Leonard’s spot was filled by Celtics teammate Derrick White, who played a crucial role for the team as they captured the gold medal.
