Bianca Belair Clarifies Reports on WWE’s Potential Addition of a Secondary Women’s Championship

Since joining WWE in 2016, Bianca Belair, the current Women’s Tag Team Champion, has accomplished nearly everything possible in the organization. She has won the tag team championships twice alongside Jade Cargill, claimed the WWE Women’s Championship on two occasions, and earned the status of WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion.

In a recent episode of the “Battleground” podcast, Belair expressed her desire for WWE to introduce a secondary title for its women’s division, similar to the Women’s North American Championship in “WWE NXT.” She mentioned hearing “rumblings” about this idea online and believes it would be a positive development.

Belair pointed out that WWE’s roster is now incredibly talented, making it difficult to predict who will make the WrestleMania card as numerous performers vie for a spot (WWE)

“We’ve reached a point where our roster is incredibly talented,” she noted. “Previously, there were only a few top performers dominating every show. Now, as we approach WrestleMania, it’s hard to predict who will make the card because everyone is competing for a spot. I believe an additional title would truly showcase the talent within our division.”

Belair emphasized that a secondary women’s championship could provide numerous opportunities for women to showcase their skills, particularly as more talent is promoted from “NXT,” which would create additional spots on the card.
