Following Montez Ford’s recent media appearances where he voiced frustrations about his role in WWE, his tag team partner Angelo Dawkins appeared to echo those sentiments during a broadcast on Monday night. Dawkins shared a subtly critical message on X, suggesting that he and Ford share common concerns regarding WWE’s booking choices. His post read, “Tired of the disrespect.”
Ford had previously expressed feelings of being overlooked within WWE’s tag team division, particularly after the duo experienced early success with championship wins. He also lamented the abrupt end of The Street Profits’ alliance with Bobby Lashley, which he believed had great potential.
Initially branded as “The Pride” in WWE, that faction lasted less than a year and dissolved after Lashley’s departure in May 2024. Since then, The Street Profits have struggled, often being overshadowed by The Bloodline.
Given the nature of professional wrestling, it’s plausible that this public display of frustration is part of a storyline, potentially hinting at a heel turn or breakup. Reports indicate WWE is considering a singles push for Ford, though he remains cautious about how it might affect Dawkins creatively.
Despite their challenges, the duo secured a victory over Elton Prince and Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly on the November 1 episode of “WWE SmackDown.” Despite his workplace dissatisfaction, Dawkins has a reason to celebrate, as he and his wife Grace welcomed their second child in late September.
