Following a road victory against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts have evened their record at 3-3. The team remains competitive in every game while making adjustments to its roster.
Recently, the Colts announced the signing of wide receiver Ethan Fernea to their practice squad, while linebacker Austin Ajiake has been released from the practice squad, as reported on the team’s official site.
Fernea has a history with the Colts, having joined the team as an undrafted rookie from UCLA back in 2022. During his time with Indianapolis, he appeared in four games across the 2022 and 2023 seasons and participated in the team’s offseason workouts this year before being waived due to an injury settlement.
Now that he has fully recovered, Fernea is back with the team after a couple of months of rehabilitation. On the other hand, Ajiake, a former linebacker from UNLV, will continue seeking opportunities in the NFL after not securing a lasting position with the Colts.
He initially joined the Colts last December, signing with the team late in the season. Throughout his career, Ajiake has also spent time on the practice squads of the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, and Green Bay Packers.
