Although the trade involving Davante Adams moving to the Jets made remarkable waves, the Buffalo Bills also pulled off a major acquisition on Tuesday. They secured Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.
Cooper is now set to raise the offensive game alongside Josh Allen and the rest of the team. Recently, Allen expressed his enthusiasm about bringing Cooper onto the roster, stating, “Very excited about him. I’ve been a very big fan of his for a long time, very smart, very detailed, and the way that he runs his routes, and I think he can help us a lot.”
Having a five-time Pro Bowl receiver, especially one coming off a stellar season, enhances the Bills’ offensive potential remarkably. Throughout his career, the former Alabama standout has consistently achieved success at each stop.
He has recorded multiple seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards during his time with the Raiders, Cowboys, and Browns. In his ninth NFL season, he achieved a personal best of 1,250 receiving yards.
What stands out is that he accomplished this feat while catching passes from several quarterbacks and not playing a full season in his age-29 year. Now, he is poised to play with arguably the best quarterback he has ever teamed up with. Additionally, the Bills could provide him with the strongest opportunity yet to secure a Super Bowl championship.
