This season has the potential to be a huge comeback for the Golden State Warriors. One of the team’s emerging talents, Moses Moody, could play a vital role in that success.

During an interview with 95.7 The Game, Moody shared his desire to contribute more, expressing that he didn’t see enough playing time last season. He emphasized his commitment to hard work and readiness for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

“I didn’t play as much as I wanted to last year, so I obviously wasn’t in a place to where I needed to be. … Not even necessarily looking for the gratification this early on — you see how it goes — but I did the work,” Moody explained.

Eager to rise to the occasion, Moody’s contributions could be essential for the team’s performance. Last season, he averaged 17.5 minutes on the court, with 8.1 points and 3 rebounds per game, showing improvement over previous years, yet he remained relatively under the radar.

With changing dynamics, head coach Steve Kerr may find himself relying on Moody more frequently if he can step up his game. The Warriors may be undergoing a transitional phase this year.

After a challenging season, they lost Klay Thompson in the summer and didn’t acquire any high-profile players to fill that gap. While they added some new talent, it remains uncertain how impactful those changes will be.

This situation presents an opportunity for the Warriors to redefine their identity, which could benefit Moody’s development. For that to happen, he must continue pushing his limits and delivering results for the team.

Moody asserts that he is ready to rise to the challenge, and now it’s time to demonstrate his capabilities.
