Tim Burton’s sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is set to become available for streaming, marking it as one of the year’s standout films. The movie has garnered an impressive global box office total of over $374.1 million, and for those who missed it in theaters, it can now be enjoyed at home.
Beginning Tuesday, October 8 at 12 a.m. ET (Monday, October 7 at 9 p.m. PT), the film will be available for digital purchase in 4K Ultra HD for $24.99 on platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV, as well as other video-on-demand services.
Additionally, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD (Steelbook) formats, starting at $26.99, on November 19 through Amazon.
According to Variety’s film critic Owen Gleiberman, the sequel offers a dose of genuine nostalgia, celebrating the era when Burton’s signature “clown-spirit-from-hell” style still possessed a shocking charm. This nostalgic makes the film a sequel that spends considerable time reflecting on the past.
Set 36 years after the original, the film follows Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) as she attempts to mend her fractured relationship with her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) with the assistance of “The Ghost with the Most” (Michael Keaton).
