John Cena made a highly awaited comeback on RAW last night, where he took on a remarkable challenge from current United States Champion Austin Theory for a title bout at WrestleMania 39.
As Cena prepared to address the crowd, Theory abruptly interrupted, presenting a challenge for Cena to compete against him for the WWE United States Title at WrestleMania 39.
Initially, Cena declined the challenge and took the opportunity to criticize Theory, pointing out his lack of self-belief and passion. In response, Theory questioned where Cena’s “Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect” had gone.
Theory warned that if Cena refused to fight at WrestleMania, he would let down the WWE Universe. Cena countered by asserting he was trying to protect Theory, stating that Theory wasn’t ready for such a high-profile match and would risk losing everything.
Cena then turned to the WWE Universe for their input, and the crowd vocally supported the idea of him wrestling Theory. In the end, Cena accepted the challenge, and the match for WrestleMania 39 was officially confirmed.
