Pierce Brosnan takes on the role of the head of a powerful crime family, with Tom Hardy portraying his “fiercely loyal” fixer in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming gangster drama, MobLand.
Set to premiere on Paramount+ on March 30, MobLand also features Helen Mirren as Brosnan’s on-screen wife.
“My wife’s the brains behind the charm. She holds me together,” Brosnan states in the newly released trailer for the series. “That makes her the most dangerous of all.”
The trailer is packed with intense action, featuring blood, firearms, and compelling narration. “Power is a hungry thing, and there’s always a rat bastard looking to take what’s mine,” Brosnan growls.
The cast of MobLand also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber.
Considine plays Kevin Harrigan, Conrad’s (Brosnan) son, while Froggatt portrays Jan Da Souza, Harry’s (Hardy) wife. Pulver takes on the role of Bella Harrigan, Kevin’s wife, and Boon plays Eddie Harrigan, Kevin’s rebellious son.
MobLand will debut on Paramount+ on March 30 in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Australia, with an international rollout planned later in 2025.
Initially developed under the title The Donovans, the series was originally envisioned as a British spinoff of Showtime’s Ray Donovan. However, it has since been reworked into a standalone one-hour gangster drama with no ties to the Ray Donovan franchise.
The series is executive produced by Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, Kris Thykier, Ivan Atkinson, Hardy, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari.
It is produced in association with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
