New 1055bhp V12 Hypercar (Nilu)

Nilu27, a new automotive start-up founded by ex-Koenigsegg design chief Sasha Selipanov, is set to reveal its first hypercar at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The Nilu Hypercar, the brainchild of Selipanov—who also designed the Koenigsegg Gemera and CC850—features a custom-built 6.5-litre V12 engine from New Zealand’s Hartley Engines. This powerplant is mounted centrally and is said to generate 1055bhp at an exhilarating 11,000rpm and 634lb ft at 7000rpm.

The dry weight of the Nilu Hypercar is anticipated to be 1200kg (Nilu)

The engine pairs with a seven-speed manual transmission, allowing the hypercar to achieve a top speed of 249mph and accelerate from 0-62mph in under 3 seconds. While specific details about the Hypercar’s chassis are yet to be revealed, it is known to feature double-wishbone pushrod suspension. The vehicle will also sport custom centre-locking wheels manufactured by Italian firm AppTech and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

The Nilu Hypercar is expected to have a dry weight of 1200kg. The initial production will include 15 track-oriented units, followed by 54 street-legal models. Among these, four will be bespoke versions that will advance the car’s design language, according to Nilu27.

Inna Selipanov, co-founder of Nilu27, expressed confidence in the enduring appeal of such hypercars. Despite the automotive industry’s shift towards electrification, she believes these vehicles will remain relevant and continue to attract enthusiasts.
