Netflix has secured the rights to adapt Ana Huang’s romance novel Twisted Love and its sequels into a television series through a seven-figure option deal.
According to the project’s logline, the series is described as: “A steamy new adult series that follows the lives of four best friends and their brooding love interests, riddled with dark secrets from their pasts, as they overcome the obstacles keeping them apart to fall in love.”
Currently, no cast members are attached to the project.
If greenlit, the Twisted adaptation would join Netflix’s growing list of romance book-to-screen adaptations, following the success of its Bridgerton and Virgin River franchises.
