Tom Felton, best known for portraying Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” film series, is set to reprise his role on Broadway in the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Felton, now 37 years old, expressed that returning to the world of Harry Potter feels like a “full-circle moment,” particularly because he is now the same age as the character Draco in the stage production. His performance will begin on November 11 at the Lyric Theatre and is scheduled to run until March 22, 2026.

This marks Felton’s Broadway debut, a significant milestone in his acting career. While he gained fame as the antagonist to Harry Potter in the original series, the stage play shifts focus to the next generation. Set nearly two decades after the final book, the story centers on the friendship between Albus Potter, Harry’s son, and Scorpius Malfoy, Draco’s son, both students at Hogwarts.

Felton Becomes First Film Cast Member to Join Cursed Child Stage Production

Felton’s appearance in the play also makes history as the first time a cast member from the “Harry Potter” films has joined the stage version of the story. His involvement is expected to draw considerable attention from fans of the franchise, especially those eager to see a familiar face bring continuity to the beloved wizarding world in a new format.

Prior to this Broadway engagement, Felton built his stage credentials with his 2022 West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story and a 2024 role in A Child of Science at the Bristol Old Vic. In film, his recent work includes They Will Kill You, alongside Patricia Arquette, and Fackham Hall, featuring Damian Lewis. His diverse roles show a growing range as he transitions between film, television, and stage.
