From Untouchables Entertainment and director Glenn Douglas Packard (Pitchfork) comes a nightmarish clash of childhood icons in the upcoming horror film The Dark Domain: Mickey vs. Winnie.
The first teaser trailer made its debut yesterday, giving audiences a glimpse of the gruesome showdown.
Alongside the trailer’s release, two striking character posters have been unveiled, further teasing the film’s sinister take on classic characters.
The story unfolds in two timelines. Set in the 1920s, the film introduces two convicts who flee into a cursed forest, only to find themselves consumed by the land’s dark and muddy depths.
A hundred years later, an unsuspecting group of thrill-seekers unknowingly ventures into the same ominous woods.
What begins as a carefree getaway at an Airbnb spirals into horror when the long-lost convicts resurface—grotesquely transformed into twisted versions of beloved childhood figures, Mickey Mouse and Winnie-the-Pooh.

As night falls, a wave of violence and carnage engulfs the group. The friends must fight for survival against the monstrous reincarnations of their childhood icons, all while struggling to escape the forest’s eerie grip.
“In a horrific spectacle, Mickey and Winnie clash, painting the woods in a gruesome tableau of blood—a chilling testament to the curse’s insidious power.”
Bringing these terrifying characters to life, Daniel Wilkinson takes on the role of Dark Mickey, while Chris Boudreaux embodies the menacing Dark Winnie.
Director Glenn Douglas Packard shared his excitement about the project, highlighting the creative potential of public domain horror:
“I love that we can take these iconic childhood characters from A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh and the 1928 Steamboat Willie version of Mickey and create a whole new wicked universe,” Packard said in a statement this week.
“Our film is like the Upside Down World, with these public domain icons getting into a horror smackdown akin to Freddy vs. Jason.”
