Cynthia Bailey, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, has learned that her ex-husband, Peter Thomas, was arrested.
On Tuesday (January 9), Peter Thomas was taken into custody in Cobb County, Georgia, for driving under the influence.
In addition to the DUI charge, Peter, 63, was cited for several offenses, including driving without a license, not having proof of insurance, failure to maintain his lane, expired or no tag, and a violation of a traffic control device.
Peter was released later that same day after posting a nearly $3,000 bail.
RHOA Star Cynthia Bailey’s Husband ArrestedFollowing the arrest, a judge ordered that Peter is prohibited from consuming alcohol or using marijuana. He is also required to submit to random drug and alcohol testing at his own expense and is no longer allowed to possess any firearms.
This is not Peter’s first brush with the law. In 2019, he was arrested at the Miami International Airport on a warrant from Louisiana, where he faced allegations of writing fraudulent checks.
At the time, he explained that he had written a $4,000 check to a talent agency for a booking but claimed his “checking account was compromised.” He spent six days in jail as a result.
Peter and Cynthia, 56, were married in 2010, separated in 2016, and finalized their divorce in 2017.
