Lil Durk And Jhené Aiko Reveal New Track ‘Can’t Hide It’, Showcasing Magic of Rap and R&B Collab

Lil Durk and Jhené Aiko have once again highlighted the magic of rap and R&B collaborations with their latest track, “Can’t Hide It.” Released on Friday, March 21, the Grammy-winning artist debuted the swoon-worthy single ahead of his highly anticipated ninth studio album, Deep Thoughts.

The song kicks off with Durk finally confirming his marriage to India Royale, before diving into lines like:

“Call you out the blue ’cause she don’t send nudes, I wanna see your body again/ And I’m so selfish, I cannot deny it, that’s why I don’t trust none of your friends.”

Aiko seamlessly picks up the energy, delivering her signature sultry and suggestive lines, including:

“Either way it goes, I want you to know I’m tryna see what that’s hittin’ for/ No need in makin’ it difficult/ Just say the word and it is a go.”

At the very least, “Can’t Hide It” serves as a reminder of how effortlessly both artists excel when leaning into their strengths.

Jhené Aiko and Lil Durk Thrive in Rap-R&B Crossovers

Aiko has long understood the power of a great duet. While TWENTY88 with Big Sean remains her most notable joint effort, the collaborative spirit of her two most recent albums, Chilombo and Trip, carries that same energy.

She’s also one of the few female powerhouses that male artists seem to genuinely enjoy working with—evident from her features on Moneybagg Yo’s “One of Dem Nights” and Ty Dolla Sign’s “By Yourself.”

Durk is no stranger to rap-R&B crossovers either. One of his early hits, 2015’s “My Beyoncé,” saw him and DeJ Loaf showcasing their chemistry over a melodic beat. He has also dedicated multiple records to Royale, including “India,” “India, Pt. II,” and “India, Pt. 3.”

His ability to deliver his-and-hers energy is further proven by his guest verse on Queen Naija’s “Lie To Me,” one of the standout tracks from her album missunderstood: The Diaries.

Lil Durk’s ‘Deep Thoughts’ Drops March 28

Durk’s upcoming album, Deep Thoughts, is set to release on March 28, though he won’t be able to fully enjoy its success from home. The “All My Life” rapper remains incarcerated due to his murder-for-hire case, which has now been rescheduled from January 7 to October 14 following an agreement between his legal team and prosecutors.

Despite his legal troubles, fans have received occasional updates on his well-being, courtesy of Ye, Royale, and the promotional video he shared ahead of the album’s release.

The 17-track project is led by singles like:

  • “Late Checkout” featuring Hunxho
  • “Turn Up A Notch”
  • “Opportunist”
  • “Monitoring Me”

However, the Aiko collaboration is already shaping up to be the standout record. Additionally, Durk teased a track with Future, but fans will have to wait a little longer to see who else made the final cut.
