The contestants of Deal or No Deal Island season 2 are pulling out all the stops in their quest for immunity.
“I have to throw an axe into my face,” Dr. Will Kirby remarks in Us Weekly’s exclusive preview of the Tuesday, January 28, episode. “I really need immunity. If I don’t, I’m going to be out pretty quickly.”
In the clip, the banker challenges the players to an axe-throwing competition. Each remaining contestant has their image placed on a target, with two bullseyes positioned in the center.
If a competitor manages to land an axe directly in the target circles, they secure immunity from facing the banker in the nightly game of Deal or No Deal. However, missing the zone means they risk elimination.
The Big Brother icon acknowledges the intense pressure as he prepares to take his shot. Dr. Will aims for his own face on the target, and though his axe makes contact with the image, it falls just outside the bullseye.
“A hit,” host Joe Manganiello announces. He then clarifies that while the throw didn’t land on the bullseye, another competitor could still attempt to strike Dr. Will’s face and potentially hit the center.
Next, Joe calls up Alexis Lete, who prefers to go by her last name. Rather than aiming for her own immunity, Lete opts to assist her ally, Phillip Solomon.
“I think Phil is a really likable guy,” the former volleyball player shares in a confessional. “He’s an athletic trainer. I think he’s someone who could do really well in this competition.”
Lete throws her axe, landing just outside the bullseye. Joe then invites Parvati Shallow to step up. The former Survivor champion reveals her determination to secure her safety, especially after La Shell Wooten suggested she was a significant threat.
“La Shell came up to me and said that I’m the biggest threat,” Parvati explains in a confessional. “So it’s possible that people have me in their targets. And clearly, I’m a threat.”

Parvati launches her axe at her image, striking directly in the center. The impressive shot earns applause from several of her fellow contestants.
“There you go, easy!” Joe exclaims, while David Genat subtly gives Parvati a thumbs-up.
Phillip is the next to take his turn. He decides to aim for Seychelle Cordero, who has been struggling to stay in the competition.
“I think I’m gonna go for Seychelle, just based on trying to get the bottom two instead of the top two,” he explains regarding his strategy.
Phillip’s axe lands on Seychelle’s photo, though far from the bullseye. When it’s Seychelle’s turn, she informs Joe that she intends to throw for herself to avoid falling to the bottom—a move that does not sit well with Phillip.
“My axe is in there. She looks over at me as if to be like, I’m sorry,” Phillip recalls. “And I look over at her to be like, ‘Hey, quick question. What the f—?’”
Seychelle then lightly tosses the axe, landing directly in the center of the target. The other players react with shock but also cheer in admiration of her precision. Even Joe appears impressed and high-fives her. The flight attendant later approaches Phillip to explain her reasoning.
“I had to try to be safe, and I hope you understand that,” Seychelle tells Phillip, who ultimately responds with a side hug and reassures her, “Yeah, I got you.”
Deal or No Deal Island airs on NBC on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. and is available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
