Arnold Schwarzenegger Shows Up At White Lotus Premiere Extending Support For Son’s Latest Project

Exes Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver put family first as they showed up to support their son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, at the premiere of The White Lotus season 3.

Patrick, 31, is among the ensemble cast for the highly anticipated third season of HBO’s luxury resort-set drama. His proud parents both attended the star-studded event on Monday, February 10, in Los Angeles, ensuring he had strong support from both sides of his family.

Arnold, 77, and Maria, 69—who officially finalized their divorce in December 2021 after being separated for over a decade—posed for photos with Patrick separately on the red carpet.

Maria also joined Patrick for a family photo without Arnold, featuring their other children: Katherine, 35, along with her husband, actor Chris Pratt; daughter Christina, 33; and son Christopher, 27. Patrick’s fiancée, Abby Champion, was also included in the group shot.

A Complicated Past, a Unified Family

Arnold and Maria’s relationship dates back to 1977 when they first met, before tying the knot in April 1986. However, their marriage came to an end in May 2011 amid reports of Arnold’s infidelity.

The Terminator star later admitted to fathering a son, Joseph Baena, with the family’s former housekeeper, Mildred “Patty” Baena, during his marriage to Maria.

In a May 2023 interview, Arnold took full accountability for his role in the split. “It was my f–kup. It was my failure,” he candidly admitted.

Although he acknowledged that the divorce was “very, very difficult in the beginning,” Arnold expressed that he doesn’t miss being married. “Eventually, you move on,” he told the outlet. “I have a wonderful girlfriend, Heather Milligan, who is very successful. I’m really proud of her, and I love her.”

Despite moving forward in his personal life, Arnold maintained deep respect and affection for Maria. “At the same time, I love my wife. She and I are really good friends and very close,” he said, referring to Maria as his “wife” throughout the interview.

Co-Parenting and Family Commitment

Though their marriage ended, Arnold and Maria have remained committed co-parents, ensuring their children continue to feel supported by both parents.

“We are very proud of the way we raised our kids,” Arnold shared. “Even though we had this drama, we did Easter together, Mother’s Day together, the Christmases together, all birthdays—everything together.”

He even joked that if there were an award for handling divorce, he and Maria would win. “If there’s an Oscar for how to handle divorce, Maria and I should get it for having the least amount of impact on the kids,” he quipped.
