Andy Cohen is standing by his choice to ask Real Housewives stars about their rumored or confirmed plastic surgery procedures.
“‘What work have you done?’ continues to be one of the most frequently asked viewer questions each season, across every franchise,” Cohen, 56, shared on Wednesday, January 29.
“From the very beginning, the Housewives have openly included us in their beauty routines; it’s a fundamental part of the series’ DNA.”
This response came after a fan criticized the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host for addressing the cast members’ physical appearances during reunion episodes.
“@Andy, the millions of women who watch these franchises are tired of you asking women ‘what work they had done?’” a user wrote via X on Wednesday.
“This isn’t 2009 anymore, and women can do whatever they want with their faces and bodies. It’s time to retire this question. It’s rude and adds nothing for the viewers. #RHONY.”
As the Real Housewives of New York City season 15 cast began their two-part reunion special on Tuesday, January 28, Cohen praised Jessel Taank’s refined appearance.
“I have to say, you’ve really had a glow-up since last season,” Cohen commented. “You look like an airbrushed version of yourself. What’s changed?”

Initially, Taank, 45, hesitated to respond, jokingly asking, “I mean, was I hideous before?” “I don’t know,” she continued. “I think I cut my hair and lost some weight.”
After a bit more discussion, Taank provided further details about her beauty regimen. “I get Botox and filler,” she admitted. “I’ve always done that, OK? Plus, I take care of my skin, drink lots of water, and I lost some weight.”
When Cohen pointed out that her teeth also appeared different, Taank confirmed she had gotten veneers. “They look amazing,” her co-stars Erin Lichy and Sai De Silva said in agreement.
Cohen has also addressed his own stance on cosmetic procedures. During a November 2024 episode of the “How to Fail” podcast, the best-selling author discussed whether he has ever had Botox.
“I’ve never tried it,” Cohen revealed. “Joan Rivers, before she passed, used to beg me to get Botox. Almost every guy I know who hosts a TV show—most of them younger than me or around my age—have had Botox.
I see their foreheads, and I’m like, ‘Your forehead doesn’t move.’ How about that? The gay guy is the one who hasn’t had Botox!”
The Real Housewives of New York City reunion continues on Bravo on Tuesday, February 4, at 9 p.m. ET. Past episodes are available for streaming anytime on Peacock.
