Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 4 will no longer be available for purchase on Xbox and PC after December 15, 2024. This is because of licensing agreements with their partners. As of now, all individual downloadable content (DLC) for the game has been removed, and only the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions remain for sale.

As part of the transition, Forza Horizon 4’s Festival Playlists will conclude on August 22nd, although daily and weekly challenges will still enable players to earn Forzathon Points. Previously exclusive cars from the Festival Playlists will now be accessible through Backstage Passes, obtainable by completing challenges and Forzathon Live events.

For players keen to secure Forza Horizon 4 digitally before it’s delisted, multiple sales will be offered, starting with one on the Xbox Store from July 14th onwards. Additionally, full-paid Xbox Game Pass members who have purchased DLC for FH4 will receive a game token via the Xbox Message Center in the coming days, ensuring they retain access to the game.

While the news of Forza Horizon 4’s delisting is disappointing, mirroring the fate of its predecessor, Forza Horizon 3, the continuity of the game’s online servers offers reassurance. This means that beyond December 15th, players can still enjoy the game’s online features and community aspects, even if it’s no longer available for purchase digitally.
