Stephen Amell, known for his role in Hollywood, has expressed admiration for WWE star Logan Paul while also contemplating a potential return to the ring.

Logan Paul, a former United States Champion, has garnered attention for his impressive athleticism and ability to elicit crowd reactions as a heel.

In a recent interview on “Insight,” Amell praised Paul’s in-ring skills, saying, “I am in awe of what Logan does. That guy is out of this world. I had my stint when I was in my mid-30s, and he’s what… around 28? But he’s been at it for a while now.”

With several matches under his belt, Paul has participated in events such as the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank, in addition to holding the United States title for over 270 days. As the lead actor in the wrestling-themed show “Heels,” Amell has been a longtime pro wrestling fan.

He was one of the first celebrities to engage in a serious WWE match, teaming with Neville against Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes’ Stardust at SummerSlam in 2015. Similar to Paul, Amell has competed in pro wrestling matches in ROH and at the inaugural All In event, showcasing his wrestling skills on-screen as Jack Spade in “Heels.”

When it comes to the prospect of another match, Amell hinted at the possibility of returning to WWE. During the interview, host Chris Van Vliet suggested that Amell has already earned a place on the celebrity “Mount Rushmore of Wrestling.”

A good friend of WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, Amell shared that Rhodes believes he could receive the “Snoop Dogg treatment” with another WWE appearance.

“Cody Rhodes thinks that I’m just one good WWE match away from potentially getting the Snoop Dogg treatment,” he revealed.

Amell expressed optimism about another match, especially now that “WWE Raw” is moving to Netflix and “Heels” is also available on the streaming platform. However, he emphasized that he would need his wife’s approval for his wrestling ambitions.

“I mentioned that if ‘Heels’ launches and there’s potential for crossover with ‘Raw’ on Netflix and ‘Suits [LA]’ on Peacock, the crossover opportunities are there for me in WWE. But I feel like I’d have to get my wife to sign off since she had to take me to the hospital twice after matches.”

Amell recounted his hospital visits following a match on “Heels” and after competing against Christopher Daniels at All In in 2018. Nonetheless, he remains open to another match, noting that he successfully handled a few intense bouts while filming “Heels” without serious injuries.
