WWE Superstar CM Punk Declares War on Hell In A Cell Opponent: ‘I’m Gonna Make You Bleed’

This week’s episode of “WWE Raw” kicked off with CM Punk addressing his upcoming Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre. The tension between the two was reignited last week when McIntyre ambushed Punk, despite both competitors previously indicating they wanted to move on after their tied Bash In Berlin Strap Match.

Punk reflected on his future in the ring, contemplating how many matches he had left. He reiterated that his return to WWE wasn’t about making friends, yet he acknowledged the animosity that had developed with McIntyre.

The rivalry began nearly a year ago, following Punk’s return at Survivor Series when McIntyre abruptly exited (WWE)

He realized that their feud could only find resolution in their upcoming rubber match at Bad Blood. Punk candidly admitted he had been naive to think their conflict would end after his victory in Germany, and he expressed a readiness to adopt a more ruthless approach in Atlanta.

He promised that while he might not be able to eliminate McIntyre, he would certainly make him suffer. The roots of their rivalry trace back nearly a year, starting with McIntyre’s abrupt exit following Punk’s return at Survivor Series in November.

Their first in-ring confrontation took place at the Royal Rumble in January, during which Punk suffered a torn triceps but still managed to thwart McIntyre’s bid for the World Championship at WrestleMania. Since then, they have faced off twice, with McIntyre winning at SummerSlam and Punk avenging that loss in their rematch later that month.
