At the upcoming Bad Blood event, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will join forces with former champion Roman Reigns to face off against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. This alliance comes after Reigns made a dramatic return during the debut of “WWE SmackDown” on USA Network, aiding Rhodes following his cage match victory over Sikoa. Rhodes had been assaulted by Sikoa, Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa after the bout.
Earlier that evening, “SmackDown” General Manager Nick Aldis revealed that Rhodes and Reigns would be teaming up against Sikoa and Fatu, contingent on their agreement. Rhodes, however, expressed his reluctance to Aldis, stating he was “done with the Bloodline” and believed they were Reigns’ issue to handle.
He refused to sign the contract, prompting Reigns to seek resolution in the ring. As Aldis began to speak, Reigns grabbed the microphone and asserted his position, declaring himself the undisputed tribal chief, emphasizing that despite any changes, he remained in control.
“I need to make one thing clear,” Reigns proclaimed. “Whether I have my family’s ulafala or not, I am the tribal chief. I’m not just any tribal chief; I am the only tribal chief. Don’t ever mistake that. This ring, this show, this WWE—it all belongs to me.”
As Rhodes’ entrance music played, he descended the ramp to confront Reigns, asserting that WWE hasn’t truly belonged to Reigns since WrestleMania. He then dropped the microphone, followed by Reigns doing the same.
Sikoa and Fatu made their entrance, accompanied by Tonga and Loa, who ambushed Rhodes and Reigns from behind. After a confrontation that saw Sikoa and Fatu receive a chokeslam and a Cody Cutter, Reigns signed the contract. Rhodes followed suit, finalizing their tag team match for Bad Blood.
