Baron Corbin, who once thrived under the “Lone Wolf” moniker, has rediscovered success in the world of tag team wrestling. His recent partnership with Bron Breakker in “WWE NXT” was a serious shift in his career trajectory.
Currently, Corbin is teaming with Apollo Crews on “Smackdown.” In an interview with “WrestleManiac UK,” Corbin expressed his appreciation for working alongside Crews, highlighting their longstanding friendship.
“Apollo and I have been friends for almost 12 years,” Corbin explained. “We even competed against each other in London during our NXT days. It’s been an incredible experience collaborating with him.”
Despite WWE’s history of underestimating the tag team division, Corbin feels that his current tag team role has revitalized his career and offered a fresh perspective on wrestling. “This partnership has been fantastic,” Corbin said. “It’s great to have someone to lean on and share experiences with.”
Although Corbin’s collaboration with Crews is relatively new, his previous stint with Breakker was particularly. Their success as a tag team, including winning the NXT Tag Team Championships, was a highlight of Corbin’s career, marking his first title reign since 2017.
