He attributed much of his early success to his flamboyant character but believes WWE was caught off guard by the strong reactions he was receiving during live shows. While there was interest in featuring him more prominently on TV, the NXT team seemed uncertain about how to proceed with Elliott’s character.

Elliott further explained, “Even now, I feel like WWE never fully grasped what my character was about. It was something new and initially received mixed reactions. Some people hated it, while others loved it, but the company seemed to decide, ‘Let’s go with it—it’s unique and drawing attention.'”

Despite a promising start, Elliott struggled to keep the momentum going, and WWE eventually released him in 2022. Looking back, Elliott described his time with WWE as “a blessing,” expressing gratitude for the opportunity after only three years on the independent circuit. Still passionate about wrestling, Elliott remains optimistic about the possibility of returning to WWE if the situation presents itself in the future.
