Global Theatrical Release for BTS’ Jung Kook’s New Documentary ‘I Am Still’

Jung Kook of BTS is poised to release an attractive new documentary, “Jung Kook: I Am Still,” which charts his path to his solo career. The film, directed by Junsoo Park—renowned for his work on various BTS-related projects—will premiere globally on September 18. It offers a deep look into the eight-month period leading up to Jung Kook’s solo debut.

The documentary, produced by Big Hit Music, will be shown in select theaters across more than 120 countries, although a detailed list of locations is yet to be announced. Tickets will become available starting August 21. The film features never-before-seen footage, personal interviews, and electrifying live performances, all designed to provide an intimate view of Jung Kook’s artistic evolution and the challenges he faced as an emerging solo star.

Trafalgar Releasing will distribute the film, with CEO Marc Allenby expressing excitement about continuing the collaboration with Hybe. Allenby emphasized the importance of sharing Jung Kook’s journey with fans and the communal experience it fosters among the BTS fanbase, known as ARMY.

Jung Kook’s single “Seven,” featuring Latto, achieved No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and served as the lead track from his debut solo album, “Golden,” which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2. Reflecting on his solo debut, Jung Kook told Variety, “This is a fresh and challenging experience for me. My goal is to showcase a more evolved version of myself and deliver outstanding music and performances.”
