At the D23 Expo on Sunday, Jamie Lee Curtis was officially honored as a Disney Legend, cementing her legendary status in Hollywood. The momentous event began with Lindsay Lohan presenting a tribute video showcasing Curtis’ most iconic roles.

Lohan expressed her admiration, saying, “Having had the privilege of working with Jamie Lee Curtis, I can attest to her timeless magic. Each character she portrays is distinct, and she brings a unique purpose to every role. I’m grateful to call her a friend and feel fortunate to work with someone I so deeply admire.”

Following Lohan’s heartfelt introduction, Jodie Foster took the stage to further celebrate Curtis. Foster shared anecdotes from their Hollywood upbringing and revealed quirky details about Curtis, such as her unconventional dining hours and early bedtime.

“Jamie gets up at 3 a.m., saves the world, and even indulges in a bit of online shopping,” Foster remarked, adding with humor, “She’s so thoughtful and generous that it makes me want to punch her, but in a good way.”

In a touching moment, Foster presented Curtis with a pair of embroidered Mickey Mouse ears. Overwhelmed, Curtis accepted the award and reflected on the nature of legends. “Legends aren’t born; they’re nurtured, taught, and educated,” she said. She also encouraged the audience to sing along to her favorite Disney ride’s theme song, the Carousel of Progress, as she led them in a rendition.

Currently, Curtis is working on “Freaky Friday 2” and previously starred in the original 2003 film with Lohan. Last year, she portrayed Madame Leota in the adaptation of Disneyland’s “Haunted Mansion.”
