Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Golf, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is hosting the 2024 Golf Fan Fest on August 24 at the Sepang International Circuit, with festivities running from 11am to 8pm.
A key highlight of the event will be an attempt to break the Malaysia Book of Records for the largest assembly of Golf enthusiasts and owners. To be part of this historic occasion, participants simply need to bring their Golf vehicles and arrive by 1.30pm.
The event also offers a variety of activities, including the Golf Showdown competition, where owners can display their customized Golfs. The competition features five categories: Timeless Legends (Mk1 and Mk2), Modern Classic (Mk3 and Mk4), Era Definers (Mk5 and Mk6), Next Gen Masters (Mk7 and Mk8), and Most Hardcore Golf (Mk1 to Mk8), with registration open for all.
For driving enthusiasts, there will be a gymkhana challenge, Golf R drift taxi rides, and track sessions. The event will also see the finalists from Volkswagen’s Biggest Golf Fan contest, held on social media over the past month, competing for the top prize and the title of the ultimate Golf fan in Malaysia.
In addition to the activities, the event will include a display tracing the Golf’s 50-year journey, along with opportunities to test drive and experience the latest Volkswagen models. Throughout the day, attendees can also join tech talks and workshops covering various aspects of vehicle ownership.
