MLB World Champion and 4-Time All-Star Engages in Custody Dispute with Bravo Star Ex-Wife

During his career as a major-league center fielder, Jim Edmonds was renowned for his spectacular catches, earning eight Gold Gloves. However, according to his ex-wife, he might not be as impressive off the field.

Edmonds, 52, is currently embroiled in a dispute with his former wife, Meghan King, a former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star, over a custody agreement he wishes to alter.

King commented, “Jim has had three different mothers of his children, and we’ve all encountered similar issues. I’ll let that speak for itself.” She continued, “I’m focused on being the best mom I can be. For me, nothing has changed. My children remain my top priority, and that’s what matters most.”

The couple, who were married from October 2014 to May 2021, currently share custody of their daughter Aspen, 6, and twin sons Hayes and Hart, 4. Recently, Edmonds filed legal documents to modify their custody arrangement, describing it as “impractical and unworkable,” according to court papers obtained by People.

He is requesting more time with the children and a more consistent schedule. An unnamed friend of Edmonds told Page Six that “Meghan does everything possible to complicate Jim’s life, which also affects the children.” King refuted this claim, asserting that she has always been the primary caregiver for her kids.

Meanwhile, Edmonds, who now works as a sports broadcaster, remarried for the fourth time in September. Over his 18-year MLB career, he played for six teams, hitting .284 with 393 home runs.
