Night Comes is an intense survival horror thriller, starring Dafne Keen and Samantha Lorraine, making its debut at the American Film Market (AFM). The film, which has an exclusive first look uncovered by Variety, is set against the backdrop of a devastating global disaster, where two sisters find themselves fighting for survival with a mission that holds humanity’s future in the balance.
The movie is directed by Jay Hernandez, known for his roles in Suicide Squad and Magnum PI, marking his feature film directorial debut. In Night Comes, Keen and Lorraine’s characters must overcome a catastrophic event while undertaking a crucial mission to save mankind.
Keen, famed for portraying Laura (X-23) in Logan and the Deadpool films, joins the project after her success in Star Wars: The Acolyte. Lorraine, who gained recognition in You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, will also be featured in the upcoming Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado.
Alongside the two leads, Alexander Ludwig, known for his roles in Bad Boys Ride or Die and Vikings, plays a vital part in the film. The worldwide sales for Night Comes are being managed by The Exchange and Impossible Dream Entertainment at AFM, aiming to attract global attention.
The film is produced by Shaun Redick (Get Out, BlacKkKlansman) and Yvette Yates Redick, with Big Picture Cinema Group’s Jayce Barriero and Jacky Lai also involved. The screenplay, crafted by Hernandez, Nancy Isaak, and Jason Bourque, sets the stage for a compelling story.
