NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez is preparing to join forces with Cora Jade to face Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer at the upcoming Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. While some fans believe Perez should have already made her debut on the main roster, Thunder Rosa shared on “Busted Open Radio” that “The Prodigy” is likely still honing her skills.
Rosa emphasized that Perez is continuing to develop her character within “WWE NXT,” a process that might not have been as beneficial on the main roster, where she could have been overshadowed, particularly in terms of her promo abilities.
“A lot of the segments that women have on ‘Raw’ and ‘SmackDown’ are promos, and if you’re not very good at doing promos, you’re not gonna have TV time,” the AEW star noted. She also mentioned that staying on “NXT” longer has not hindered Perez, who is proving herself as “The Prodigy” and has become nearly unbeatable as NXT Women’s Champion.
Additionally, the former AEW Women’s World Champion speculated that Perez might have remained on “NXT” partly due to the show’s transition to The CW, allowing for a more familiar roster before introducing new talent.
“But I think in the next couple of months, maybe even three or four months, I don’t think it would be a bad idea for her to move to ‘Raw’ or ‘SmackDown,'” Rosa concluded, suggesting that this shift could facilitate her next feud, helping to establish the new face of the NXT Women’s Division.
