Former WWE Star Dolph Ziggler Discusses His Career, Downplays Hall of Fame Aspirations

Nic Nemeth has successfully transitioned from his WWE days as Dolph Ziggler to establish himself in various promotions, including New Japan Pro Wrestling, AAA, and TNA, where he currently reigns as the World Heavyweight Champion. While he has enjoyed considerable success, some, like his “Busted Open Radio” co-host Dave LaGreca, argue that Nemeth’s impressive accomplishments with WWE warrant induction into the Hall of Fame.

During a recent episode of “Busted Open,” Nemeth candidly shared that the thought of the WWE Hall of Fame doesn’t occupy much space in his mind, particularly in light of other reflections regarding his time in WWE.

Nemeth now reigns as TNA World Heavyweight Champion after WWE stardom as Dolph Ziggler (WWE)

“It’s not a frequent thought for me,” he remarked. “However, it’s intriguing to discuss when it comes up. I often realize that I’ve overlooked many aspects; I find myself constantly helping others and perhaps giving too much of myself. I should have prioritized my own interests more.

But my love for the business is immense… As someone who stands just under 6 feet and weighs nearly 200 pounds, I didn’t have anyone championing me during meetings, nor did I come from the Ring of Honor or the indie circuit. My only ally was Pat Patterson, but he wasn’t always available. Even when he did advocate for me, they often found ways to make me lose if they thought it would be entertaining.”
