Baja-Inspired Beauty: The Two-Door Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition

Following the retro-themed Free Wheeling Package, Ford has uncovered another modern Bronco that pays homage to its heritage. The 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition is named after Bill Stroppe, a builder of Baja Broncos in the 1960s and 1970s, and emphasizes a Baja-inspired design. Similar to the Free Wheeling Package, this special edition focuses on aesthetic enhancements, but it is available in a very specific configuration.

This edition takes over the Bronco Wildtrak designation for 2025 and comes equipped with the Sasquatch package as standard. For context, this package includes a high-clearance HOSS suspension with internal bypass dampers, 35-inch tires on black 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and a stabilizer bar disconnect.

Powering the vehicle is Ford’s 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6, generating 315 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The only available body style is the two-door, and every Stroppe Special Edition Bronco showcases an eye-catching orange and white livery with a blue roof.

In addition to its distinctive color palette, the latest special edition features unique branding both inside and outside the vehicle. Ford has included special side steps with integrated rock rails, a matte black finish on the rear gate, and a matte black hood. The orange hue is actually referred to as Code Orange and marks its debut on the Bronco outside of the Raptor lineup.

“We’ve been hinting at the return of a Bronco Stroppe Special Edition with our competition Broncos since returning to the Baja 1000 with the Bronco R in 2020,” remarked North American Design Director Gordon Platto. “The choice of Code Orange, Oxford White, Atlas Blue, and matte black was intentional for our race vehicles. It’s an iconic design, and the history behind it is vital to the modern Bronco.”

While Ford has not disclosed the price for the Bronco Stroppe Special Edition, it is expected to exceed $63,000. The current Wildtrak model starts at $62,815 for the two-door version, making it reasonable to anticipate that the special edition will come with a higher price tag. Sales for this edition are set to begin in January 2025.
