Robert Griffin III Identifies the Greatest Dual Threat QB in History

From 2012 until 2020, Robert Griffin III showcased his skills as a dual-threat quarterback in the NFL. Over the course of his career, RGIII accumulated impressive stats, throwing for 9,271 yards and rushing for 1,809 yards.

On Friday, Griffin expressed his belief that Lamar Jackson, the current quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, holds the title of the greatest dual-threat quarterback of all time.

He also mentioned that Jayden Daniels, a rookie for the Washington Commanders, is on track to become the greatest quarterback in the team’s history, which knowingly includes Griffin himself, who played for the franchise from 2012 to 2015.

Fans and Griffin are eager to see the matchup this Sunday in Baltimore, where Jackson and Daniels will go head-to-head. In his rookie season, Daniels has already made an impact, throwing for 1,135 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions, while also rushing for 300 yards and four touchdowns.

Jackson is off to another remarkable start this season, with 1,206 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and just one interception, along with 363 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Having been Jackson’s teammate for three years, Griffin witnessed the quarterback’s remarkable dual-threat ability firsthand.

In 2019, Jackson made headlines with 3,127 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and a single-season rushing record for a quarterback with 1,206 yards, earning him the NFL MVP award.

The following year, Jackson surpassed 2,700 passing yards and achieved over 1,000 rushing yards for the second consecutive season, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to accomplish back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons.

While Daniels wasn’t guaranteed a starting role as a rookie, he has already demonstrated his capability to meet the high standards set by Jackson.
