Steph Curry Celebrated for Legendary Olympic Achievement in New Video

During the summer, the U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team secured the gold medal by defeating France 98-87. This victory marks the eighth gold medal for the national team since NBA players were first permitted to participate in the Olympics in 1992.

Steph Curry, the point guard for the Golden State Warriors, made his Olympic debut this summer after completing his 15th season in the NBA. Despite a sluggish start that led to doubts about his performance on such a grand stage, Curry delivered a stunning performance in the semifinals against Serbia, scoring 36 points and hitting nine of his 14 three-point attempts.

His scoring achievement established a national team record for the most points in a knockout game and set an Olympic record for the highest number of three-pointers made in a knockout game.

On Friday, Curry received recognition for his Olympic accomplishments during a preseason game against the Sacramento Kings, celebrated in front of the home crowd.

In a video shared by 95.7 The Game on X, Curry was presented with the gold medal by his teammate Draymond Green, with head coach Steve Kerr—who also coached the national team—standing alongside them.

After the U.S. victory over Serbia, Curry contributed 24 points in the gold medal game, which included a new Olympic record of eight three-pointers. Four of those three-pointers were made in the last three minutes of the game, and he concluded his first Olympic appearance as the team’s leading scorer, averaging 14.8 points per game.

With this achievement, Curry adds a gold medal to his collection, which already includes four world titles and two NBA MVP awards.
