Following a lackluster postseason and a quiet summer, the Miami Heat are eager to bring excitement to their dedicated fanbase in the 2024-25 season. A huge question arises: will they begin the season without their sharpshooter, Tyler Herro?
This concern stems from his absence in the first preseason game, raising alarms among fans. In a conversation with the media, Herro addressed the situation, indicating that he is recuperating from a minor groin injury and expects to return shortly.
“Nothing happened. I was just pretty sore from training camp. Ran a lot, was sore, so I needed a couple of days; I’m back,” Herro reassured, providing relief for Heat supporters.
Last season, despite appearing in only 42 games, Herro averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. His injury woes in recent seasons have raised concerns about their potential recurrence in 2024-25.
With the Heat aiming for a dramatically different season, losing their key players is far from ideal. Historically, the team has performed decently in the regular season but ramped up their intensity as the playoffs approach.
While this strategy has often worked to their advantage, there’s a possibility that it may not yield the same results this year. Could this be the year they maintain a strong performance from the start to the finish of the season?
Numerous questions loom over the Heat, particularly regarding their future with Jimmy Butler. Additionally, Herro’s position on the team has also raised eyebrows.
Thus, he must recover fully, regain his form, and rejoin the team as soon as possible.
